Want to achieve optimal skin health this winter? Now that we’re coming into the cooler months, we need to look at adapting our skin care regimen to suit the weather and make sure our skin stays nice and hydrated.
Here are some tips and tricks from our experienced beauty team for you to remember.
This Winter change your cleanser from a foam cleanser to a creamy cleanser. Using a creamy cleanser will ensure your skin doesn’t lose any of its natural oils.
Reduce your exfoliation to only one to two times per week in the Winter to avoid over exfoliating your skin. Also, instead of using a granular scrub try a leave on enzyme exfoliation.
Make sure to change your moisturiser to a heavier weight moisturiser coming into Winter. Your skin changes with the weather, and therefore your moisturiser needs to change to avoid your skin getting dry and dehydrated.
Mask it up
Add a regular face mask to your skin care routine to give your skin a pick-me-up treatment! During the cooler months you will find it is a lot harder to keep your skin hydrated and looking bright, so only use the mask two to three times each week. You can even sleep in the mask overnight if you are struggling for time!
But, don’t just use any old mask. For the best results use a mask that is full of antioxidants and vitamins to give your skin the boost it deserves.
Add a rosehip oil serum into your skin care routine this Winter! Rosehip oil offers several amazing skin benefits: it is the essential fatty acids in rosehip oil that helps to keep dry skin soft and supple, and is fantastic in reducing and/or treating fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage and scarring.
